Facebook Has Done It Again! - Phonebook Setting Shows Everyone's Contact Number?!

I just thought I'd share this info with my readers & lurkers. :-) This information is for the Facebook User.

Facebook.com has a setting that allows your friends to view your mobil and landline contact numbers at any time. Now this setting may also allow your contact number to be seen by "everyone".

One on my friends posted this on facebook today:

"EVERYONE'S PHONE NUMBER IS NOW ON FACEBOOK! NO JOKE.. Go to the top right of your screen, click Account then Edit Friends. Go to the left side of your screen and click Phone book. Everyone's phone numbers are now being published. Please re-post to let your friends know this is happening so they can remove their numbers by changing their privacy settings. (Privacy Settings-Phone-Customize-Only ME)."

Here is how I changed this setting:

1) Sign in to your Facebook.com account.
2) Under the drop down box at the top right of your screen, select Privacy Settings.
3) Scroll down a bit until you see the clickable Customize Settings. Click on that link.
4) Now you may want to poke around a bit here, change what you want to change. Once you're done, scroll all the way down until you see Contact Information.
5) Under the drop down box next to your mobil number, select Customize.
6) Now you can control who views your number, along with your address and other contact information.

Thanks Norma!
