Extra! Extra! Read All About It: Facebook's New Instant Personalization Setting

For those that don't know, yesterday Facebook's instant personalizaion setting went into effect. 

What does this mean?

Well, apparently it means that Facebook can now share your data with non-Facebook sites. Also this setting is automatically set to enable! Now there is a way to change this, so that Facebook can't share your data with non-Facebook sites. Just follow my How To below to change the setting!

How To:

~ Sign into your facebook account

~ Go to "account", then select the option "privacy settings"

~ Now look for the "apps and websites" link & click "edit setting"

~ Then select "edit setting" next to the instant personalization section

~ Once the page loads, a video will be in your face, close that pop-out and scroll down

~ You should now see the checked box next to the text: enable personalization on partner websites

~ Click that box to "un-check" it, meaning that non-facebook sites/partner sites of facebook can no longer access your information.

Also if your friends don't change this setting, they will be sharing information about you as well as their information. So Don't forget to spread the word & tell everyone you know!

Great Youtube Comment - Short Black Friday Shopping Summary

So I want to share something with my readers.

Background Story: Black Friday shopping, I know I still haven't blogged about it, but I did mention a little about it on a comment I left on a Youtube.com video created by bigcouz52.

*Side Note & Warning: You should watch the video, and subscribe. Bigcouz52 has a lot of really great videos that I love to watch and learn from. Also some of you will find my Youtube.com username to be inappropriate, I apologize for that. I created that account years before I even knew about blogging, and so when I created my blog, all of the accounts linked up. Please note that once I start vlogging, I will create a different account.*

My Comment: "You mentioned being able to afford things that otherwise, you may not be able to purchase; well I would like to share a bit about my Black Friday shopping trip.

From Black Friday shopping @ CVS I was able to score $365 worth of products for only $26 at the register. After rebates I was paid $3.00! And one of the "bigger" items I bought was the Halogen Oven (priced @ $50)! To top it off, I still had $44 extra care bucks.

Also I love your videos, I really enjoy how you explain everything!"

I wanted to share this with my readers because I agree with everlastingcurves, with patience and preparation you can "make a killing". Thanks to the savings program at CVS/Pharmacy, I am able to purchase a lot of different products that I know I would have to pay a ridiculious amount of money for if I was purchasing it any place else. CVS/Pharmacy carries a wide varity of items, not only groceries and medicine, but also furniture, cosmetics, and much more. And through their savings program, I know I will only have to pay tax for anything I want to purchase inside their store.

My new goal is for a new computer chair. Right now, they're priced at only $39.99 each. Hopefully, in a few weeks, I will reach my goal and share it with all of you.

Also, soon I will post pics of my big ticket items from 2010, along with the details of that particular transaction as an example of how I score my loot. :)

Walgreens Coupon Usage Policy Guildlines - Did You Know + Reminder

 For those who don't know yet, Walgreens has released an official coupon policy. You can read it on the Walgreens Store website page, found HERE. I strongly suggest printing this policy and saving/taking it with you as you shop at Walgreens. I'd rather you be safe than sorry. : )

This is what the website has posted as the coupon usage guildlines:

General 

• All valid coupons should be presented to the cashier at the time of checkout.
• Walgreens does not accept expired coupons.
• Coupons and their face value cannot be exchanged for cash or gift cards.
• Competitor coupons are not accepted at Walgreens.
• Walgreens cannot accept coupons for items not carried in our stores.
• The number of manufacturer coupons, including Register Rewards^TM manufacturer coupons, may not exceed the number of items in the transaction. The total value of the coupons may not exceed the value of the transaction. Sales tax must be paid, if required by state law.
• Any coupon offer not covered in these guidelines will be accepted at the discretion of Walgreens management.

Sale Items 

• Walgreens will accept manufacturer coupons for an item that is on sale.
• In the event that any item's selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons.

Multiple Coupons 

• When purchasing a single item, Walgreens accepts one manufacturer coupon and applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single item, unless prohibited by either coupon offer.
